Career Source Florida and Florida Makes are partnering with Regional Manufacturing Associations (your MSCA is one) in order to complete an analysis of current and future labor market needs for manufacturing in our area.
Beginning in September 2016, focus groups will be held throughout the state to review the data collected in year 1.
MSCA held the first focus group on September 8th, with attendance from important employers including Mosaic, Saddle Creek Logistics, Kegel, Harrell’s Fertilizer, Alaso, Maxpak and Brightvolt and Procunier, Ferrera Tooling and more. Our sincere thanks to these companies for their commitment to Polk County and their willingness to give time and attention to addressing the future labor needs and issues.
The CAAM College Alliance for Advanced Manufacturing will coordinate additional focus groups throughout the state and continue to provide info on talent development supports and grant resources.
