New Technology Coming to Household Kitchens
If you've ever wondered what the next step for 3D technology may be, your answer is here! One of the most talked about new technologies at the Home & Housewares Show this year is a 3D printer...for pancakes. You read that right! The printer can take any photo or drawing and uses software to build pancake art directly on the griddle. The product was designed by a mom and dad team looking to spice up breakfast for their 2 kids. The first prototype was built using their children's legos! Take a look at this cnet clip of the Pancakebot in action.
NAM Fears New Barrier to Energy Resources
The U.S. Department of the Interior released a 2017-2022 proposed plan which would determine areas and resources that have the potential to be researched for energy development over the next 15 years. The National Association of Manufacturers warns the plan to govern energy research and development completely excludes the Atlantic and the elimination of off-shore resources could seriously dampen the ability of manufacturers to conduct responsible and efficient research on energy assets. This plan would remove more than 86% of the country's off-shore resources. "By prematurely locking up large areas of resources from both research and development, despite bipartisan support from communities and states for offshore development, this administration is forfeiting our success," NAM Vice President of Energy and Resources Policy Ross Eisenberg.
